We focus on ...
It is committed to providing the individulised and evidance based maternity care for you and your family.
Our experience has shown that
good postnatal care where you
have access to your own
personal midwife gives a new
mother the reassurance she
needs to adjust to life with her
new baby. This can greatly
improve the success of
breastfeeding, speed up the
woman's recovery and give her
the confidence to care for her
newborn baby.
Having your own midwife will give you the peace of mind that comes from knowing there is help available when you need it.
Meet the Director
My name is Arezou Namazy. I graduated from King's College University of London in 1995 as a nurse and then decided to become a midwife. I completed my midwifery training in 1997.
I have a Msc in Midwifery and have been working as a midwife since 1997.
I am registered with the Nursing Midwifery Council and have a Supervisor of Midwife, whose role is to ensure that I am a safe practitioner and keep my skills up-to-date. I am currently working as a senior midwife in an NHS hospital. I have worked in the community,in delivery Suite, antenatal and postnatal wards and have extensive experience in home and water births.
I have decided to provide a private postnatal care service because, I feel that there is little support available to women once they have been discharged from the hospital. There is a lot of emphasis on the labour and antenatal care, but too little on postnatal care, which I feel is becoming the 'Cinderella Service' of the NHS.
In my view, however, the postnatal period is of paramount importance for the long term well-being of a mother and her baby. I feel that postnatal care is predominately about the provision of a supportive environment in which the mother, the baby and the rest of the family can begin their new life together.
